HOW IT WORKS
Each registered angler will be given a scorecard and a measuring device(basket) the day of the event at sign-in.(see ***Special Rules*** for exceptions)
Your 5(five) LONGEST verified lengths will make your total score. Fish UNDER 14" will not be scored and should not be photographed or recorded. A 14" fish IS legal. The angler with the highest total score is the winner; next highest score is 2nd place, and so on. SCORECARDS AND BASKETS MUST BE RETURNED OR THE ANGLER’S CATCH WILL BE DISQUALIFIED AND THEY WILL RECEIVE A ZERO FOR THE EVENT.
Each bass must be measured from lip to end of tail on the provided measuring device A smart angler will position the fish in such a way that the photo will show it in its longest position. With that in mind, I don't care if the mouth is open or closed. I will be looking at where the tip of the fishes lip is in relation to the start of the ruler. No fingers can be in,on, or around the mouth area. No devices can be used to clamp or stretch the mouth. No pinching of the tail. Just put the fish down and shoot the photo which MUST include the following criteria:
*the whole fish, tip to tail
*Laying with the head towards the start of the ruler
*tip of the lip at the beginning of the ruler
*demonstrating visible lenght marks
*on your issued basket (or with the code word showing)
*in ONE PHOTO FRAME that is not angled down the lenght of the fish
IF the tip of the lip is NOT at the start of the ruler, an appropriate lenght deduction will be assessed. IF any the other criteria listed above is not adhered to, that fish will NOT be scored. No exceptions.
Camera phones are specifically NOT ALLOWED. Disposable cameras are NOT ALLOWED(due to the time constraints of developing the pictures). Anglers must provide their own digital camera and devices (cords, software, etc) to download the pictures via a USB port to the judge's laptop.
At or about 4pm, winners will be announced, prizes will be awarded, and the tournament will be declared over.(see***Special Rules*** for exceptions)
Any violation of any of the above posted rules may result in disqualification and a score of “0” will be given. All rules will be interpreted by the tournament’s judge(s) and his/their decision will be final.
Any protests should be registered with the tournament director immediately after the results being posted. Once the awards presentation begins, the results are official and will not be changed even if there is an error.
No drug or alcohol use during the tournament is allowed and no angler may be under the influence of either drugs or alcohol.
TIES
In the event that one or more anglers tie (have the same total score), this is the criteria used to determine the placement;

b) go the the 2nd biggest fish
c) if there is still a tie, then flip a coin
PAYOUT
Entry fee for each event is $30. A $5 fee will be deducted from the entry fee to cover event expenses(Paypal/CC fees, fish baskets, gazebo rental, food etc). The remainer goes into the cash prize pot.
The cash prize pot will be divided as follows: 70-20-10% payout for 0-29 anglers, 50-30-15-5% payout for 30-39 anglers, 45-25-14-10-6% payout for 40+ anglers.
